Each piece is handmade in southern India using traditional pottery techniques. The reactive glaze is applied by hand, creating its unique, softly variegated surface during the firing process, so no two pieces are exactly alike. Produced as part of a fair-trade initiative, the workshop provides training and stable employment for skilled makers, with a strong focus on supporting and empowering women.
