These unusual serving platters are eye-catching and useful in equal measure, making them ideal for summer entertaining and bringing a relaxed style to outdoor dining. The irregularly etched wood at one end of the board creates a textured focal point, while making the perfect hand hold for easy serving. Pair with small bowls for an attractive way to serve up bread and olive oil, or a selection of dips. Available in two sizes.
The mango wood we use is a by-product of mango farming. Mango trees are initially grown for their fruit, and harvested over a number of years, then once the trees have stopped bearing fruit, they are cut down to allow farmers to plant more trees. Selling the waste material also provides the farmers with a supplementary income.
To care for your mango wood wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately. To nourish and protect the natural wood rub an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a cloth. Please note adding oil may darken the tone of the wood. Due to the natural beauty of these items there may be changes to the colour over time.
