How It's Made

Skilled makers form the candlestick from iron and finish the metal in a rich black tone. They then weave natural rattan by hand around the stem, creating a textured contrast between the two materials. Makers carefully distress the rattan using heat to enhance its character and bring out the natural variation in the weave, ensuring each piece has its own unique appeal.
Care Instructions
