Product Description
Our Purnia Desk Lamp showcases a classic nkuku combination of mouth-blown recycled glass and powder-coated metal, finished in antique brass. This simple yet elegant design makes it a perfect match for any nkuku desk, effortlessly complementing your workspace. How it's made
At nkuku we proudly use natural, reclaimed and recycled materials as we believe in celebrating the beauty of the natural world, reusing resources and minimising waste wherever we can. Our Purnia desk lamp is no exception. The base is made from sheet metal, precisely cut to the specific design, then heated and hand-shaped to form the structure. Skilled makers then expertly weld the parts together before adding an antique brass finish to create a beautifully aged aesthetic. We use recycled glass to make the shade. Firstly, the waste glass is collected and washed to remove any impurities; it is then crushed and melted down before being mouth-blown into a mould to create the required shape.
